Spring your Make-Up into gear for 2011

Come join us on Sunday, March 6, 2011 for lessons on how to properly apply your make up and how to get the fabulous looks that you see on your favorite models and celebrities.

Celebrity Make Up Artist, Kiam Barrese will give you professional instructions on how to properly choose colors that enhance you, how to properly apply your make up and blending techniques for FLAWLESS looks!

The class will encompass techniques on skin care and protection for your skin from various products. Students will be provided with written information to refer to for at-home application. Participants will also have the opportunity to purchase Backstage Cosmetix which will be featured at NYC Fashion Week 2011.

*Space for participants is limited; therefore the $40.00 admission fee is required to reserve your space.

Backstage Cosmetix was created by Celebrity Makeup Artist, Kiam Barrese.  A native New Yorker who got her start in the entertainment business when she was just a young girl. 

Having trained as a dancer from the age of 4, Kiam went on to choreograph and dance professionally by the time she was 14.  Some of her personal credits include two movies, "Beat Street" and "Krush Groove" a number of videos in the late 80's like, "Children Story"/Slick Rick, "Hey Young World" / Slick Rick , " Just Got Paid" / Johnny Kemp and many more.

Essentially, Kiam has spent most of her young life growing up " Backstage", which has prepared her for the career she has evolved into now.  After becoming a mother of three, Kiam fell back on her other artistic abilities in Hair and Makeup. Kiam has worked with some of the best in the biz today; such as Erykah Badu, Taraji P. Henson, Danity Kane, Mya, Solange, Jadakiss and T.I just to name a few.  Using the knowledge and skills she developed over the years on and off set,  Backstage Cosmetix was born!  The line was publicly launched at WBLS 2009 Circle Of Sisters Expo and has been growing ever since.
